 NOVEMBER-DECEMBER 2017 - Kirkland Lake Arts Club Annual Exhibition

The Kirkland Lake Arts Club will hold their Annual Exhibition in the Gallery from November 24th, 2017 to January 3rd, 2018. An Opening Reception will take place on Sunday, November 26th with refreshments and snacks provided by the Kirkland Lake Arts Club. DECEMBER 9th, 2017 - Auxiliary Christmas "One Fiftea: A Rustic Canadian Christmas"               The Museum's Auxiliary will host their annual Christmas Tea on Saturday, December 9th from 12pm to 3pm. With delicious Canadian foods, tea and dessert, it's sure not to disappoint. Tickets are $15 and can be purcahsed at the Museum. Tables are filling up fast to call and reserve your tickets today. DECEMBER 10th, 2017- Christmas Concert - "A Candlelight Christmas"                                          The Museum Auxiliary presents the KL Live Singers who will be performing Christmas Carols by Candlelight with accompaniement by Richard Kallio. Join us at the Museum on Sunday, December 10th for two seatings - a Matinee Performance from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, and an Evening Performance from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Stop by the Museum to purchase your tickets, purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.Click here for our poster.

 

SUMMER 2018 - 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival (postponed from August 2017)                    The Museum and Kirkland Lake Arts Club are partnering together to present the 1st Annual Kirkland Lake Arts Festival. 

This festival will be a blend of symposium (with workshops, demonstrations and networking), market (with food, art, and service vendors), interactive art exhibition, performances, and overall celebration of art in the North!

We want to showcase budding as well as professional artists and artisans: potters, sculptors, jewellers, woodworkers, tattoo artists, painters, performers (dance and music), videographers/photographers and graphic artists, culinary artists, poets and writers, fringe artists, etc … An event specifically to join together and celebrate art; a space created for those who are being called to art to explore, grow and connect.

This event will take place on Friday, August 18th (6-9 p.m.) and Saturday, August 19th (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.). 

The Arts Fest will be held at the Museum, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). As an artist you can participate in many ways! We have tables to rent for those artists looking sell or promote their art products and/or services. We also have time slots to host those artists who would like to offer a demonstration, workshop, presentation and/ or “Art Talks” (our art version of “Ted Talks”)!

Should you wish to participate in this event by becoming a vendor and/ or demonstrator/presenter please fill out the forms and return to the Museum secured with payment by Wednesday, August 2nd. 

Please share this information with other local-to-the-North artists (Temiskaming-Cochrane district).
